It is with much sorrow that I announce the death of Brenda Clark.
She passed away on Sunday 9th July after a lengthy illness.
Last year Brenda told me she could not continue as President of
BDAC because of her failing health, she did with great regret because
she had “been honoured” to be President for several years. Brenda
was a true advocate of allotment gardening and respected the work
of allotment holders and local committees.
As chairman of BDAC I valued her support and wise advice, at times
some issues arose which needed an “outside” wisdom and Brenda
was a most reliable, dependable and supportive person to whom I
could turn. We spent hours over the years putting the world to
rights!
She gave this great City of Birmingham many years of her life as a
councillor and alderman and will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers go to her family whom she often talked
about.
Arrangements for her funeral are still to be made and I will give
details when known.
